Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz has been re-created with remarkable accuracy in this 12-inch standing doll, crafted from bisque porcelain. Note the special accents: Dorothy's brown eyes, lashes, and brows are handpainted and are set off by a hint of blush on her cheeks and by full, rosy lips. She wears a white blouse and pinafore with sky blue ribbons on her two braids to match her checkered dress. Dorothy carries a woven basket that can be posed on her arms, which move at the shoulder. Standing by her sparkly ruby slippers is a separate doll--her little dog Toto. Dorothy and Toto are meant to be admired, not played with.
